Our Goal

HEAL YEG aims to give back to our city by putting the fun back in fundraiser. We collaborate with non-profits to encourage others for donations to their important causes.

Our Impact

Every year, HEAL YEG partners with a selected nonprofit to host its annual Rise Up event. It is HEAL’s flagship and most important event of the year which has raised a total of $32,000 for partners like Camp He Ho Ha, and WAIBY. Throughout the rest of the year, HEAL works with various Edmonton-based nonprofits to host cooking classes, yoga instruction, street parties, and much more to support those in need.

50+

thousand Dollars Raised

Through various virtual and in-person events, we have focused on being a voice for other nonprofits to offer new avenues of funding and support.

5+

Years Serving communities

Since our founding in 2018, we continue to grow and expand this voice for others in the Edmonton community.

10+

Edmonton charities supported

This growing voice has since partnered and supported charities such as Camp He Ho Ha, Operation Friendship Seniors Society, and Youth Restorative Action Project.

Our Events

HEAL YEG partners with other organizations in Edmonton to host innovative and exciting events with our partners to fundraise for those in need. It is through these events that we offer non-profits new opportunities for exposure and awareness of their cause.

Rise Up

HEAL YEG’s flagship annual event aimed to allow the city of Edmonton to rise up for its community. It is a black-tie fundraising gala that includes live art, live music, silent auctions, and an unforgettable night to fundraise for that year’s charity.

Cooking Classes

The virtual cooking classes started in 2020 when the pandemic no longer made it possible to host in-person events. They quickly became a popular way to spend the night with John Milakovic on Zoom as he walks you through a recipe with provided ingredients. For each meal purchased and prepared, a second meal is provided to a senior in need through our friends at the Operation Friendship Seniors Society.

Pitch In

After 2021’s incredibly successful inaugural Pitch In Slow Pitch tournament, it has now become our annual summer main event. Each team provides their charity of choice, and all proceeds of the tournament’s fundraising efforts go to the winning team’s charity. Last year, we raised over $4,000 for the Bent Arrow Society who serve the indigenous families throughout Edmonton and area.

New Partnerships

HEAL YEG is always looking for new partnerships to expand and grow our voice for others. If you or someone you know would like to help those in need, please reach out to us and we’ll bring you into our family.

Making positive change for those in need comes easy for this group; each member of the HEAL team embodies what it means to be selfless with their time, energy, creativity, and love to make a difference in the communities in which they live.
